Answers: Henrik Weimedal

Whats the reactions of your album -Possessions of power-, both from the
audience and from media?
-High above our expectations. It's always hard to know about the reactions of a debutalbum, but we are very happy. But we notice a difference between the swedish listeners and the rest of the world. The swedes are a hell of a lot more hard to please. Media has been very good to us, both in Sweden and in the rest of the world. To this date (000314) we have only got one gig since the release of P.O.P. It was at the Motala Metal Festival, and we got damn good reactions from the audience!

Have the record given you more opportunitys to play live?
-Absolutely, we've got more gigs in three months than we got during the whole time we've been playing together. Well, it's been more and bigger of course, the latest was Motala... next is in Linköping, Åtvidaberg and more...

Are you going to play any festivals this summer?
-Yes, we are waiting for answers in several places, but we are booked at -Bohusröjet- close to Gothenburg, and -PDOL- in Piteå in July. But first of all it will be a tour in France in June together with Labyrinth and Pink Cream 69, and one gig with Royal Hunt!

How's the new singer Stefan Petersson affected your sound and music (personally I really like his voice) ?
-First time we heard Stefan on our two songs from -Born against the wind- (mini-CD) we knew at once this is the kind of singer we want, and he has affected our sound a lot, maybe not so much in the songwriting.

Do you have any new songs to the next album?
-Yes, a few. But we don't know if their good enough for the new album, the recording of the new album hopefully going to start in December. It's a long way there.

In what direction is your music going?
-Next album will not be as complicated as P.O.P, not as symphonic. Probably a lot more keyboard, now we have a new keyboardplayer in ex. Tad Morose member Fredrik "Frippe" Eriksson. He has a lot of ideas, and we also have one more guitarplayer in Adrian Kanebäck, so there is a lot more ideas, and thats good.

Who are your biggest influences, and is inspiring you?
-Musically it's various. All from Mozart to Stratovarius. Lyrically it's anything, for example history, fantasy, films, books and so on..also things happening in our normal life.

How is the future for Morifade?
-Right now it's feels very good, things are happening, the album sells good, a lot of gigs, but we've learned not to have to high expectations. Theres a lot of people talking bullshit in the world.
