OFFICIAL STATEMENT: NEW GUITARIST!
Finally we have found a new guitarist and Morifade is once again a complete band.

During the last five months we have recieved several demos from around the world, among them, USA and Ireland.
Morifade is the kind of band that when we rehearse for whatever reason we want the whole band to be present and that could be a problem if one of the bandmembers is living very far away.
So we decided to concentrate on the guitarists that were from Sweden, and the winning ticket actually fell on a guy from our hometown Linköping.
His name is Mathias Kamijo, session guitarist in Pain and ex-session guitarist in Hypocrisy.
We all know Mathias in one way or another so we didn't ask for a demo, we just tried him out at a rehearsal and there was no question about it, he's in!

The Members section will be updated with more info and photos soon.

We're doing a gig at Skylten - Linköping, Sweden April 16th as support to Evergrey, this is a great opportunity to try Mathias out.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: JESPER's OWN STATEMENT!
“After more than ten years & as the founding member/creator of the band I was requested to end my days as composer/guitarist in Morifade. There were no other choices and now I’m leaving a big part of my life behind me, but certainly for something better. It's been a long journey through both good & bad memories. I’ve also seen, learned & experienced a lot of things during this journey, which I will carry with me in the future and here are my last words to the band;

“The truth is as mentioned in your statement; the co-operation in some aspects was the major-thing that tore us apart from each other. We’re different individuals in validation of thoughts, interpretation, how to act and handle with things in different situations etc.

So remember, it’s not one persons fault when problems like this appear or grows stronger and not even in this case. Maybe we could have solved it for the better, where all parts could have been satisfied over the co-operation within the band and maybe not. It doesn’t matter anymore and I think this solution of the problem was the best of choices for both parts. A new chapter in life begins and we’ll see where it leads us.”

“Thanks to my family, friends and all wonderful fans that stood by me through all these years — I love you. Keep your ears and eyes open for my next group, project or whatever it will be. I have my vision, I won't give up making music, and so at last but not least – you haven't heard the last from me!”

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: JESPER - NO LONGER A MEMBER!
A couple of months ago we sat down and talked to our guitarist Jesper about the chemistry
in the band and we let him know that it for quite a while has been very difficult to co-operate with him.

So, yesterday, after several meetings and days of discussions, we told him that if the band is to
survive we need to go seperate ways, and so hereby we announce that Jesper Johansson no longer is a member of Morifade.

We wish him good luck in future constellations.

The search for a new guitarist hereby starts and if you feel that you want to take the place as guitarist in Morifade feel free to send a demo of some sort and/or a video or a live performance.
Also send a short presentation and info about yourself and any previous band(s).

OFFICIAL STATEMENT 1: NEW LEAD VOCALIST!
Morifade proudly announce that we have finally found a new lead vocalist after a few months of auditions.
We would like to thank all singers both from Sweden and abroad for their efforts.

Among several singers our choise fell on Kristian Wallin. It's really hard to make a fair judgement after only one rehearsal but with Kristian we all felt that he could really do a good job with Morifade.
Kristian was the lead vocalist of Rising Faith before joining Morifade.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: STEFAN SAYS GOODBYE!
After 6 years as the vocalist of Morifade, Stefan now has decided to leave his position in the band!
His own statement follows:

"Due to personal reasons I have decided that my days in Morifade are over. I would like to thank the guys in the band, it´s been a wonderful journey! Best of luck in the future! I would also like to thank my family and friends for their support and understanding through the years. But above all my thanks goes out to all the fans around the world for your everlasting support and devotion. Thank you for some truly unforgettable moments!"

Stefan's decision to leave the band did not come as a chock to us when he broke the news a couple of months ago, we had felt this coming for about a year and a half.
We thank Stefan for his long time in Morifade and wishes him the best of luck in the future!

All this means that right now we are searching for a new vocalist and we have several singers waiting to be auditioning for the band, in the meantime, ALL SINGERS are welcome to send us demos and info about themselves if you are interested to be the leadvocalist of Morifade!

A STATEMENT FROM HAMMERHEART RECORDS:

After months of thinking, talking, evaluating plans and contracts HAMMERHEART RECORDS have decided to call it a day !!! But we are not simply leaving all this behind... how could we ever ???

Both owners Peter van Ool and Guido Heijnens have decided to re-start a new label under the name KARMAGEDDON MEDIA !!!

Ofcourse with the same quality and impact as Hammerheart Records used to have.

Why ?

We simply got a bit tired of some of the things happening in the music-industry, especially the attitude of some people was too much for us, we had to change things drastically or stopping was the only option. We ran into problems and what I would call "anti-social" behaviour too often and frequently.

This new label is done in very close co-operation with PLASTIC HEAD DISTRIBUTION, who will exclusively distribute KARMAGEDDON MEDIA starting October 1st 2003.

We feel secure and positive that under the wings of our big independent brothers working at PLASTIC HEAD DISTRIBUTION we get more chances to develop and grow in a steady and reliable way.

The artists and the catalogue of HAMMERHEART RECORDS are transferred to KARMAGEDDON MEDIA and we will soon inform everyone on our release-schedule.

Be prepared for new killer albums by DISMEMBER, CRUACHAN, MORIFADE, TORTURE KILLER etc.

We realized that it would have been too much work to have a new soundclip every week so we decided to do it like this instead

Morifade have signed a one year management deal with Metal Fortress Entertainment in Sweden. As a result of this, things will be a little easier for us, regarding booking of live gigs etc.

As you might now we'll start the recording of our new album in January 2003 and we'll do a "week by week" studio diary with info about each weeks work and progress and also pictures and audio clips. You will be able to listen to one of the songs featured at the coming album, one clip each week:

First week - drums and bass
Second week - dums, bass and guitars and so on.

Enough about that, we have decided to use two different studios for different purposes, all music will be recorded in Los Angered Recording, Gothenburg with Andy La Rocque, the mix will be done there as well and the vocals and choirs will be recorded in Monogram Recording, Stockholm.

We decided to work this way mainly for two reasons: First, Stefan is living in Stockholm so he won't feel any stress facing the recording of the vocals since he will be able to do it in his own pace, second, David (Monogram Recording) is very good at producing vocals, not that we think it's anything wrong with the vocals recorded in Los Angered Recording but we wanted to try something else.

Yesterday we recieved a sad message from our label. They got all the promo cd's from the printing factory, all with the wrong print on it!

Hammeheart decided to postpone the release of "Imaginarium" to April 8th. After discussing this in the band we came to the conclusion that there are more advantages then disadvantages with the postponing of the release so here we are, waiting a couple of months further for the album to arrive. The releaseparty of course is cancelled and also postponed, a new date will be set.

Let's hope there are no more delays! I'm sorry but this is the way things are right now and we can't do anything about it!

Ok, last week Kim, Jesper and Fredrik entered Los Angered Recording to start the recording of our 2:nd fullength album "IMAGINARIUM". The album includes 11 powerful metal songs. So what has improved since "Possession of Power" then? Well...How about everything?...The melody is still there but the tracks on this
album is way more heavy and of course the production is a killer if you compare it with "Possession..." and I think even greater than our latest MCD "Cast A Spell" for you who have had the luck to get that one (it has only been released in France). The vocals is more powerful and aggressive and we're pretty satisfied with
lyrical part of the album. The album is expected to be released in October or November this year.

So, for 5 more weeks we will torture our instruments to their breaking limits! Later we will put up some sound samples at the website for your pleasure until the release of "IMAGINARIUM"!!!

We have signed a contract with Hammerheart Records.
The contract is fixed to two years and includes at least 2 CD
recordings and since we at this very moment have all the material for 1 CD,

A couple of months ago our new MCD "Cast A Spell" was released in France, unfortunately this is the only country to release it right now due to the fact that we are in the middle of a label change and so far we have got a couple of offers.

We have most of the material for the new fullength album finished and we have also preliminary booked the studio (Los Angered Recording). The album will probably be out in the end of the summer and so far we
are very satisfied with the material and we think it's a step further than "Possession of Power".
